How can I edit this imported part more efficiently?

I imported this part from a SLDPRT file, and I wanted to remove this tab and fill in the gap. I did it through some extrude subtracts and new sketches, but it feels like there is a better way to do this that I'm missing. Are there any features that would make this easier than the 9 different operations I used for it? (it was 9 because there were two tabs, so some were duplicated). Not sure if important, but this is originally a sheet metal part that I'm modifying to be machined.

Delete face feature... Should only need one step.
Awesome, that was much easier. It left me with the picture below, which I then used Replace Face on to head
You could have selected all of those faces as well in the delete step and it would have built as long as both of the sides were coplanar
Hm, I just tried that with no luck, with both "heal" and "cap". The sides are coplanar
@conorbyrne the easiest way to use the delete face on this is to do an inclusive box selection, drag your cursor from left to right when making the selection and a blue box will appear, it will select all faces within the blue box.
