Transform will not work on 2D shape

I'm new to Onshape and I can't figure out how to solve this problem. Searched far and wide on Youtube and Google.
I created a 2D diamond shape with rounded corners (https://cad.onshape.com/documents/cfe03f87ab0b43c1bf5f4b23/w/ba6ca756e48641e7f3ca103c/e/f687fa600e7ab8a5832b8989?renderMode=0&uiState=6817f47f47edb54ad6da0601).
What I want to do is, create a clone of this shape and scale it down a bit from the center point. The original shape I want to extrude with a 5 degr shrinking draft and then place the shrunk shape with the same outline at the top of the extrude, equidistant from the resulting top of the extrude and extrude from there down in a removing fashion, but stopping short of the original base, ie. creating an open-faced container.
The thing is, once I create my base shape, I can't even select it for transformation. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I need help.

the native transform tool cannot transform sketches indeed.
there are a million ways to transform this depending on the complexity of the container wall-thickness you're looking for.
try creating the basic shape and use shell afterwards…
else use extrude for the bottom and thin extrude for the walls. in two subsequent features
HI, you need to create 2 planes
select tool Plane
Have you tried transform in sketch edit mode? It can scale your sketch.
