Using a derived composite part in a part studio NOT assembly

shannon_gomes653shannon_gomes653 Member Posts: 4

I have search for an answer to this question but the answers all discuss assemblies NOT parts.

I have a PCBA with 300 parts. In it's part studio I create a closed composite part so that it is one part.

In another part studio I try to use this composite part ad derived. However when I select the composite part studio it explodes it back into 300 pieces ignoring the composite I did previously. There has got to be a way to import this into a part studio as a single entity.

Help?

Hey Shannon. I just tried the same within one of my own documents and the composite part remained intact. Please post a link to your document. - Scotty
