How to change which side partial fillet offset offsets from?

algot_björklundalgot_björklund Member Posts: 4

Hi, I want to make a partial fillet but when I select offset it chooses the wrong side to offset from and adding a second bound makes it unable to regenerate. Other edges with the same dimensions worked fine since it selected the other side to start the offset from. Is there a way to to manually select which side the offset should be from?

Thanks!

I think an easier way is to use an "Entity" as the Partial fillet end type. This entity can be a plane or Mate connector or others. In the case below I created a Mate connector offset from the end I wanted to measure from:

    Hi, click that arrow

Thanks for answering, however that does not solve my problem. That arrow changes which side of the offset the fillet is on, what I want to change is which side the offset is calculated from.

Image 1 shows the current situation, image 2 shows what the arrows do and image 3 shows what I want.

Essentially you don’t. measure the line and subtract off 5mm and enter that in situation 1

if you want it to be dynamic you would have to create at a few variables to enter a formula instead of a static value
