'Breaking up' a composite part imported from a STEP.

Hi. I have a vendor-supplied STEP that imports as a composite part of surface bodies, even if 'create composite' is NOT checked on import.

I'd like to do some work on the surfaces to thicken them, but I cannot find a way of splitting the imported composite back into its consistutent surface features.

Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Import to one part studio and uncheck composite part. You'll have some surfaces that can be thickened or whatever is needed.

I can thicken surfaces despite how its imported. Can you expand on what you are trying to do that you can't? Or why you need to split the surfaces into pieces? You can use delete face for any unwanted surfaces if that helps.
