Is there something that tellls you the time you have spent?

Out of interest I would like to know if there is a way that shows you roughly how much time you have spent on a model? For instance if a model takes you several weeks or months of tinkering, you easily loose your feeling of how much time you spent.

On Thingiverse or Printables you often see makers mention that it took them X amount of hours. Or is it simply a question of recording yourself?

Enterprise has analytics which include stats on time per document. Without that you can look carefully through the document history to see when each micro version happened. Ultimately, I don’t think there’s a great way to measure the time spent unless you define what that means in a very measurable way. If you’re staring at the screen, deep in thought about the next step but you’re not clicking buttons, how does Onshape - or anyone - tell if that counts as time spent?

If I used Onshape for work I am sure everybody, including the boss and his dog, would think I was napping at my desk 🤣

But as I thought I just have to simply keep a time table and add up the snippits of productive screen staring.

Yeah. I've got such. My wife calls and tells me I'm late for dinner. ;0)

I'm with S1mon here: Sometimes I don't do anything with a model. We might sit in front of the screen and discuss for hours. Then again, I might be busy klicking and pointing like mad for hours. So, what is my actual work? I calculate time spent with a project. And that is typically on a per day basis, maybe a few hours for a side project. Nothing more granular that that.
