how do I make a smooth connection between a sphere and a non curve?

also, I accidentally made the versions wrong. The version that says a version of curving is the original and the main one is my thought on how I should. I wasn't thinking very well.
you'll probably need to be looking at using the loft tool in some way. How depends on the final look your going for.

If you knew you wanted a smooth transition right from the start, you'd probably have started different, right? The origin is your friend. If you don't hide him but rather build symmetrical parts on him, he'll save you a lot of work.
