Importing Object Scan Bug?

I've been testing out the new import scan feature on my iPhone 16 Pro, I may be encountering a bug. I can do an area scan and the mesh shows up after processing but when doing an object scan it fails. After processing completes the scanning UI disappears and no mesh is created in a part studio no are there any scan folder in the document. I've gone through the documentation, am I missing something or is it a bug?

I have the same problem on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
I tried scanning a small matte solid black rubber object and it worked. The object I was initially trying to scan was a satin-matte solid white flower pot in the form of an Italian renaissance style bust sculpture.
Attempted scanning it half a dozen times before and after scanning the other object and it failed every time without any error message. Clearly some sort of bug, at the very least the user should be presented with a "scan failed" or "error" message upon failure.
Hopefully the Onshape team plans to publish some sort of applet just for scanning, it's a bit annoying to create a document and tap through all the UI elements to start a scan. The automatic "cropping" of the object scans is very cool.
