Looking for violin scroll example

i’m trying to model the basic shaped of a violin scroll. I don’t need to add all the detail because I intend to finish the scroll by hand. I have a 2D drawing of the outline and on the height of the scroll along the helix. I assume I would do this with a loft and a 3-D fit spline. I’m just stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

i’ve looked at this example. I can see where he used sketches v1 through v13 as profiles for a surface loft. I dont see where he set up guides to follow the curves of the spiral.
There's always lots of ways to skin a cat, but this person apparently made these two crazy spiral surfaces then just lofted straight across from one to the other.
