Why won't this shell?

I'm trying to shell this part with a 1mm wall thickness. Before I unioned the parts, I could get a 2.5mm shell… but nothing smaller. I listened to the onshape you tube which said "check the smallest radius is bigger than your shell thickness" er, I guess that's where my problem is? But radius of what? I don't really get what this radius map is telling me… or why there's a single point with a "radius" of 10,000,000 🤔

Yeah Sketch 5 needs to get its act together and align itself with the intersection point in Angle Town. There's a .01mm radius resulting from the revolve because of the misalignment which the shell operation is trying to offset and resolve.

Seems there is another issue as that transition is causing some heartburn for onshape.

Setting Loft 1 end profile condition to normal to profile will clear it up

OK I officially love onshape… I'm mid transition from tinkercad: onshape is quite frustrating to learn but very satisfying to get right… A beautiful piece of software. Have taken feedback above, kinda redid most things and it's now perfect. This part in particular was actually a great learning excersise: I recommend it for anyone starting out like me! I wouldn't trust that I did everything the most sensible way but… just look at it! Beautiful! :D Ironically I don't think it's really feasable to 3d print so I'm going to remove the dog leg all together but never mind haha (PS it's a water intake for an RC boat project… sits underneath the hull)
