Bug in line tool?

I have a video and a link to file
But why on earth does it behave like this or am I st*pid?
Main question, why does the middle point lane , that's connected to the center point of the line thats made with offset tool. Why does this Middle point line change the length of the offsetted line not just extend the line staying where it is?
Issue is iv'e experienced this before in more complex drawings and if unnoticed it can really mess with your drawing. When i selected the starting point i think the starting point should stay where i select not move around as i change the length of the line.
Sorry English is not my first language so it's a bit difficult to explain what i mean maybe.

when you offset a line, the end points are not restricted. (that's why they're blue (underconstrained) rather than black)
so if the position of the end points can move, so can the middle point.
So resticting through dimensions/constraints/helplines the end points is the probable solution, although you could also constrain/dimension the middle line and lenght of the offset line.
e.g. make the end points vertical to the end points of the original line…
