Rendering still in progress on my end. Coming down to the wire. Might literally. If I run out of time I might cheat a little with the stem because of how little symmetry there is with that geometry. Hope not to though.

I'll just say @Derek_Van_Allen_BD must of been an overachiever in school. Reminds me of my son who hates not getting 100% on all his grades.

Thought it would be more fun if I waited till the last minute to submit.
Pumpkin itself took about 40 minutes to carve from start to finish.
This took so long because I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do.

This constitutes my official submission.
Your pumpkin studio rendered in A1008 cold rolled steel and 304 stainless steel lofted sheet metal.
My rendering platform of choice? Welding bench, obviously.
And a vanity shot for good measure. I'll follow up more with the process in another post later but this was a lot of work to get this guy over the finish line so I'm gonna kick back with a celebratory beer for finishing it without too many issues.

Edit: lol, someone doesn't like cheese.
In my defense, it was never specified that we had to stay in a purely digital rendering pipeline. Just that we had to use the supplied part studio and produce the most legit image. Now some people might call my submission a violation of the spirit of the rules if only technically abiding by the letter of them, and I would also call it that because that's what I was going for. That kind of thing is my jam.
Derek Van Allen | Engineering Consultant | MeddlerNice submissions! My vote's gotta go to Derek's "rendering" (#6) and if I need to choose a digital rendering then Michael's (#5) is the one for me.
Derek, it looks like you ended up forcing a cursed sheet metal model to produce, which helped make it manufacturable, but didn't make the patterns, then you offset surfaces and used the Flatten Surface tool to make patterns? Really cool stuff.
Michael, can't wait to hear more about your app. Lookin' great.
