Irregular linear pattern

Hello! I want to make a mechanical manipulator by SpiBot (https://www.cell.com/device/pdfExtended/S2666-9986(24)00603-3).

I have no issue creating a single segment, however, I struggle to come up with good way to shrink them along the axis, as on the drawing.
Would love to hear any ideas on how to linearly change scale of segments (both on sketch units and bodies would do).
