Measure Between Entities - Composite Part

I've derived a composite and want to get a measured variable between two vertex entities. I'm finding that in this dialog, I can only hover over the entire part. Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

For some reason the composite body is kind of "sitting on top" of all of the other geometry underneath it (with regards to selecting things). You can hover over the point you want in the feature dialog and press ~ to Select Other, and get the vertex. You can also preselect the vertices, then click the variable icon that shows up down near the measure tool. On the other hand it's cool to know that you can use composite parts as inputs to effectively measure from "Group A" to "Group B" if you need to.

That's good to know - but a little bit of an odd design choice, especially the preselection workaround. Thanks Evan.
