How to 'edit' or view student submissions with suppress on

The short version is that there's an assignment that has students insert a cam into a premade assembly and use the tangent mate to make the cam move a follower shaft up and down. With how it currently is, they both get sent to the middle of the axle that it's turning on. For convenience sake I told them to supress one cam so they can simulate the motion of the other, but this is making it hard for me to go in and see if they got it to work with both cams.
Is there any way to edit the supression features, or some sort of work around?

If you are using Classes & Assignments, you should have edit privileges, so you can supress features in the main workspace.
It's only showing me "view" for assignments, which is odd. Can you think of a reason why that would be?
You might not be in the Main workspace? Open versions and history and make sure you are in Main.
I usually don't use versions and I definitely didn't know that the submission was't putting me in the main document…
Yes, that was the issue, I wasn't in the "Main" portion of the workspace. That solved the issue, thanks.
Yep, that's a pretty cool feature of Classes & Assignments. Each time an assignment is submitted, a version is created so you have a permanent snapshot of what the document looked like at the time of submission.
