What Post to use with Shopsaber WinCNC machine
With the release of CAM Studio for FIRST Robotics teams we are one of those benificeraies. In our shop we use two different Machines. One is a Tormach 1100 and the other is a ShopSabre Pro404 with a WinCNC controller.
The Tormach is listed in CAM studio so I assume that will be just fine
My Struggle is with the WinCNC controller. I have not found a machine in the list that outputs NC code that will run without significant edits after the post.

I have not used CAM Studio, but I am familiar with CAM in general. It looks like you need to go to Machines in CAM Studio and adjust or create a new POST, a function that outputs the correct G-Code for a specific machine. I would look at a G-code program that runs correctly on your machine and compare it to the CAM studio post to see what the differences are. Usually the biggest issue is how arcs are defined. Some machines use the center point and end point as a relative position from the starting point, others use an absolute position from the origin and such. The other differences are often in M-codes used to control the spindle motor, coolant, etc. Also many machines support various canned cycles in the G80 range for things like drilling, in-out, peck, clearance etc. You can reach out to me if you like gary.lucas@verizon.net.
