adding supports for 3d printing

This is hopefully a simple one but how do i add support structure to items that are being 3d printed?

Obviously to help support the airborne areas during printing.

Normally this is handled in the slicer software that you use with your 3D printer.

This depends on many factors specific to the material and printer so is done in your printer's slicer software.

Sometimes you may want to control support creation and create your own but most times just let the slicer do it for you.
