UI vs featurescript query performance

forsaken_candyforsaken_candy Member Posts: 9 EDU

Hi, I've encountered a case where a simple query featurescript is a lot faster (2ms vs 2s) than a UI query feature. I'm querying all Body type entities created by a linear pattern.

I'm happy to use featurescript, but since I'm learning, I'd like to know if this is expected and I'm missing something. Thanks!

What happens if you turn off the “Show selection” option in the Query variable feature?

turn off "show selection". Showing debug entities is very resource intensive.

Oh wow, that brought it down to 3ms. I had assumed that option only ran while the UI was open.

Edit: This has shaved seconds off my regeneration times, thanks
