Multiple variable tables in a Single Variable Studio?

andre_kvaternikandre_kvaternik Member Posts: 13

I am modeling a foldup workbench (https://cad.onshape.com/documents/e48dbff1ad91b2abd920c3b6/w/7ab6d2b84b3e6d6539693fb2/e/b639def723d2a7b70e7b5403) that has accumulated alot of variables in a single Variable Studio table I've named "Global Variables". Perhaps too many, but it's what I got.

The table has become a bit difficult to maintain because of the number of variables. There doesn't appear to be a way to group or filter this table I'd like to move some of the variables to a different variable table, but keep in the same Variable Studio. Is that possible? I know I can create another Variable Studio, but I was hoping I could keep all the variable tables in a single Variable Studio.

One thing you could do is to move it a different variable studio (i.e. duplicate the variable studio and delete what you don't need) but "insert" it in this variable studio. This way you don't edit them here but you can use them from inserting just this one variable studio in your parts/assemblies.
Basically you can create a bunch of separate variable studios and insert them all into a "master" variable studio that you insert where you need it.
