What's the best way to organize drawings to provide them to the Fabrication team?

on our robot team, cad and fab are two separate groups. We would like an organized system for all fab drawings (ready to check, approved, made, etc) that we can share with fab. We can make folders, but we can't send a link to those folders. How is this supposed to be done? Our project is small compared to commercial projects. How do they do it?
