Help with lofts and split/subract

I'm trying to create a diverter for my minisplit ac unit. I'm going to connect it to a 6in exhaust pipe so I made a cone with the exhaust end at 6in. Then I hacked together a bunch of routed curves and lofted them to attach the plates that connect to the minisplit to the cone.
It sort of worked but I'm interested in learning a better way to do this. The sides didn't turn out horrible but I struggled with the front and back connecting nicely with the faces of the cone.
I'm also struggling to remove the parts of the shroud that poke through the cone. I tried to use boolean and split but couldn't get either to work. I also need to remove the top of the cone so the entire thing is hollow.

Hey Steven. Due to the size, except for some smaller components, I doubt 3D printing is an option for construction. So, what method and materials are you thinking of using?
When I first saw the image above, I thought of starting with a common material such as thin wall plastic pipe. Upon realizing the diameter it would have to be, I nearly canned the idea but thought that perhaps by splitting a piece (6" or 8"?) along its length would, perhaps with some heat, allow you to shape it to fit. I would use flanges on the piece and double sided tape to install it.
Sorry if this comes off as suggesting for you to can your build, but I had my doubts it might be doable. If you want to continue on the route your own, I might be able to help (either way).
