In "My documents" view, spacebar should IMHO clear the document selection.

In "My documents" view, spacebar should IMHO clear the document selection.
Spacebar clears the curren selection in other views like in part studio.

Indeed.
Particularly since, when the "My Documents" page reopens (say after moving a document to the Trash) the first document is selected by default.
If the user does not notice and scrolls further down the page, the next document selected and trashed will take the unseen document with it.5
