How to copy and paste part or save as new?

Hello!
I'm new to CAD and Onshape is the first program that I have been able to use to draw up usable simple parts. I have a part that is fairly complex (for me...meaning it would take me an hour or more to duplicate it) and I would like to modify it, yet keep the original part as it is (because I still need it). Is there a way to do this?

Right click on the Part Studio tab and select Duplicate from the menu. This will make an exact copy that you can do anything you want to without affecting the original and changes to the original will not affect the duplicate studio. You can also use Copy to Clipboard... from the same menu and paste the part studio into another document.5 -

As Brian mentioned, there are several ways you could accomplish this behavior. I would recommend using versions and branches to achieve his design intent. I prefer this method because it gives you concrete iterations along the way that you can more easily go back to if you do not like the changes that you made.
