Does anyone know how to cancel a reply/comment after it has been started but not posted?

If it saves a draft, then there is an option on the right hand side called "My Drafts". Click on this and it will take you to all of your drafts.
From here you can click the 'X' on individual drafts to remove them.
If there are no drafts, then simply leave/refresh/whatever and the text entered will be cleared out.Jake RamsleyDirector of Quality Engineering & Release Manager onshape.com5
