exiting the spline tool

when I'm exiting the spline tool do i have to hit escape every time? Other feature like lines and circle and stuff when you re hit the feature button or switch to any other tool it keeps the line/shape you made. This doesn't happen withe the spline tool tho.

    I do find that Onshape is doing similar things in different ways. The user experience is quite messy. The spline gets me everytime as Esc for me would be 'quit what you are doing' not 'Confirm and end operation' as for the spline. Please raise it as IMPROVEMENT REQUESTS
