How copy/imprint a pattern on to a surface?

Hi, I need help with my project. I have made a bowl and I want to imprint a hippie/flower pattern on to the outer surface of the bowl. I don't know how, please help.
The grey flower is not on the bowl nor is it bent. That's the flower I want to make a pattern of and on to the outer surface of the bowl.
I'm thankful for all the help that I can get!

Answers
1) extrude the flower shape into surface of bowl as new part.
2) create offset surface of bowl,
3) use that surface to split flower.
4) delete the excess
5) boolean add with bowl.
- make the flower as a new body by using extrude up to part with an offset so it's inside the bowl a little bit.
- circular pattern the part with the "remove" option checked. (if you want them sticking out, then add a second extrude direction to the extrude, and make it also up to part, with an offset the other way)
