DXF file past 2018 "version"

My school is looking for a program to create 3D sketches for the STEM education. I am testing difrent programs for the school.
I come to the problem that the DXF files i can export are between 2000 - 2018. The problem here is that our Laser software is from a newer version (2020).
Any way to get the DXF in a more recent version?
