Marking parts for CNC

Hello,
Is there a way to mark my parts using variables and have the test engraved into the parts in selected location?
The idea is to mark the parts so once they are out of the CNC they can be easily referenced and assembled properly.
I hope that make sense.

Yes, this is possible. You will need the beta version of the custom feature Surface Text by @dave_cowden.

You don't need to use a custom feature.
You can configure the text
