Creating a Ratchet and Pawl in an assembly

I have a ratchet and pawl in an assembly with rotational and planar mates. I don't know how you would model the behavior of this system though. There doesn't appear to be a "contact" mate.

    It can be animated - at least to some extent (limited as that may be)
    But I have to work on it to see if I can make things more stable

    As far as showing the full behavior, well ...
