How to split a closed spline into two equal areas

Newbie user here. I need to split a closed spline into 2 equal areas but can't figure it out. Using the spline in this sketch, how can I accomplish it? TIA

    There's no direct way that I know of to find a line which would exactly split the area. You could find the centroid (of an extruded solid of that sketch region) with a mate connector, which might be close to a point which a line would pass through. You could also manually do an iterative approximation, until the two sides' areas are within some epsilon of being equal. If you needed to do this a lot, you could write a featurescript to do it.

    @mike_bodie, @S1mon is right.

    Here are two custom feature that can handle this. Visit their documents to add them to your toolbar. The small + button at the top of the document.

    Find solution by @Konstantin_Sh and Volume optimizer by myself.

    Find solution is more universal and will let you solve for anything you can measure, use Measure values also by Konstantin to get those values. Volume optimizer on the other hand, is specifically made for volumes and areas.

    Here is an example of how to use Volume optimizer:

    @MichaelPascoe

    Nice. I didn't know that was available. Once again, if we had better discovery/search tools for custom features...

    I think Konstantin's is posted deep within the "custom feature show and tell" post and mine hasn't been posted yet.
