CAM Studio - Beta Test

sorin_rotarusorin_rotaru Member, csevp Posts: 8 PRO
Hello everyone,
I encountered one problem during test CAM Studio:
  I could not add/select Stock part for a very simple test part I choosen, either it was created in the same studio tab along to the workpiece or in a separate tab of the same Onshape document. The Onshape selector doesn't show/see it at all. I tried same procedure to other document and other work piece,  but same result, not a chance to allow me to add the stock part.  Also I tried to see if somehow shows a selection using Avoidable where I have a workholder/Kurt vise that was imported as Step file , but not a chance there either. So I skipped that issue and  just continued to selct the stock box with dimnsions at the next step of the process. Don't know if anybody else encountered the same issue, or is something localto may folders, hard to say, but hope it is not something major to be fixed. Please let me know when it is solved.
Thank you  for your support.

    @sorin_rotaru

    It is possible to use a stock model designed in Onshape or a stock model defined in cam studio. If you created a new part, stock or fixture in Onshape you must create a version before those job components can be inserted into cam studio.

    Workflow for assigning a custom stock model:

    Today, you need to create the job, assign the machining part, exit the setup. Next, go to the components tab, hide the machining part and show the stock model. Go back to jobs, edit the job. Go to the stock section, select user defined and select the custom stock model. This is a temporary workaround for today.
