Hi all, I'm trying to remove material to make a cool pattern on this conic shape I'm modeling. I have a sketch with a circle pattern, and I'm trying to extrude it all the way through the part, but my extrude feature breaks and gives me "Boolean Operation failed to return a valid part" when I try it. I was able to successfully remove the right semicircle using the extrude command but the left is a different story. Any ideas why I can't cleanly remove the left semi-circle using the extrude command?

I am working on building a worm gear model. I figured out how to make the worm part. But the gear part is proving difficult. I cut a v shaped grove in a cylinder shape at an angle to make a nearly helical gear tooth. However I can't revolve the sweeps around cylinder to make the teeth.
