Hi - this has been covered ad nauseum on the forum - an edge can only have two faces, in solid modelling and in real life. Use move face to offset a fraction, then boolean. (View Post)2 -

There is no need to delete it - either just hide it or use the Delete part feature. (View Post)1 -

Selection order in the Boolean feature is important. Make sure you select the part that was originally in the drawing first, then select the other parts. That way the original Part ID is maintained. (View Post)1 -
