Re: Fill - This operations creates intersecting edges
@glen_dewsbury Your loft solution may work for the needs of a model, but typically you never want to loft two edges together like that since both ends will be degenerate. NURBS surfaces do not like to be 3 or 2-sided. They are all 4-sided, sometimes with trims. 3 or 2-sided surfaces will often fail to offset or thicken - a… -
Re: Why is my mate assembly overdefined?
Onshape only requires one to constrain a part. A Fastened mate fully constrains all 6 degrees of freedom of a part. In your assembly: Part 1 <1> is fixed Fastened 1 fixes Part 1 < 3> Fastened 2 fixes Part 2 <1> Fastened 3 fixes Part 1 <2> Fastened 4 fixes Part 1 <4> Any more mates will overdefine your assembly. -

Re: Sheet nesting for parts

RMB on the flat and select Export DXF/DWG 3 Edit the export options to suit 4. Under the Scope dropdown you can choose from… -
Re: What is the "proper" way to design a multi piece design with intertwined constraints
For what you designed, which is 3 parts for 3d printing, and all 3 parts are explicitly made to fit together, I would have definitely made it all in a single part studio. You’d probably be around 75 features for everything, maybe even 50. When you get many more parts, or the parts have a lot more complexity, such as for…
