Is it possible to add a variable defined in a Part Studio to a Variable Studio?

Why doesn't the spur gear feature script update properly when using a variable studio
When you create a variable studio and add variables like gear pitch and teeth number, and then create gears in a part studio based on those variables, the gear outputs correctly. But if you go back and edit the variable amount in the Var studio and go back to the part studio, it generates wrong. The variable names are… -
Variable table "Filter feature list" behavior changed?
I might be crazy but i thought when you used the "Filter feature list" from the variable table it used to show just the features that used that variable. I tried it today and it just shows the "variable" feature only, which seems pretty useless... Anyone else remember the "old" behavior or did I dream that up? -
Re: Dimensions in Assemblies
There are many ways you could do this - the "correct" way can only be evaluated when you factor in your design intent... One way I would use involves 1. a Variable studio (e.g. put the length, width, number of cross members in as variables) 2. in a Part studio use these variables to drive a sketch... then use Frame… -
Re: Best practices for making non-trivial sketches in a script.
This looks like the real answer, thanks! So, do I understand correctly, that I have to: - create (in this case) a sketch in a separate part studio - make the variables I need in that part studio (and use them in the sketch accordingly) - go to "configuration panel" of the part studio, add all those variables to… -

Dashed yellow border around some variables within the variable table?
Hi All, I've got a mill chain sprocket configuration that is dependent on multiple variables, link below. I was inspecting my variable table just now and noticed that several variables are outlined in a dashed yellow border - I've only made two configurators so far but the exact same variables in both files appear this…
