Re: About slicing a form
Your facets are not actually flat - which might be a problem. You could try looking at the 'Flatten Surfaces' tool - https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/View/analysis_tools.htm?cshid=showFlattenSurfaces#Flatten

Re: Improvements to Onshape - November 21, 2025
Dynamic suppression is extremely long anticipated by me. π€ I'm hoping dynamic suppression in assemblies is just around the corner. π€
Re: How can models with complex curves to this level be created in Onshape?
A quick sample, lacking all the dirty details, though maybe you get the idea:
Just to prove it could be done in principle.
Re: Sweep orientation/align Problem
@giannos_petris - Being all one solid part at the end - as your drawing depicts - makes things much easier. Now it doesn't matter how the grey and blue parts connect since it's all going to be booleaned together at the end anyway. Just model it first without any of the internal hollow structure and boolean it together. Then model the negative, internal space as a solid and boolean-subtract that from the first part.

Re: Quirky(?) UI View Cube Zoom & 3D Connexion SpaceMouse Behavior
Probably could, with sufficient customization. The space mouse is 100% customizable in terms of what ASCII strings are sent via aux buttons, and if you dug deep enough I would be surprised you couldn't customize the joystick response strings.
But I've never specifically tried it with flight simulator apps β'flying a helicopter' in my CAD drawings is exciting enough for meβ¦ποΈ
Re: Slot dimensioning in drawings
To do this as it ought to be done, we should implement a slot feature in the part studio. These should not be drawing only activities for consideration of ultimate automation.
We do have an improvement for a slot feature in part studio that could partake in creating data about these geometric features that Drawings could utilize to automatically annotate the drawing. These things are of interest to us.
