Metal Sheet difficulties

Florian_SchneiderFlorian_Schneider Member Posts: 6 PRO

Hi

I am currently working on this Sheet Metal part, but it does not work out as i want. Photos of the endproduct are attached, but there will be two flanges at the bottom instead of one. (like in the 3D-Model)

Now i am struggling to get the 3D-Model to finish the part as sheet model, but i need that in order to get a complete sheet metal out of it.

Hi @Florian_Schneider - you must make the document public for others to copy and edit it to see where you need help. Go the share dialog and select "make public".

Also, it is not clear what problem you are having? Are you struggling trying to add the feature shown in the first image above? Or the hole?

    Hi Niel

Thanks for the answere, here you are:

What i need is a 3D model of the part mentioned in the camera pictures. The problem is, as soon as i want to create the overlaping things on the sides, i cannot do this as long as it is a sheet metal part. i have to press "finish Sheet metal" and edit it then as i like. But at this point it does not update the sheet metal in its unbent form.

The Tab of "part studio 4" shows what the unbent sheet metal should look like, but if i cannot bend it into its final form, i can not be sure if my calculations are bullet proof.

Hi @Florian_Schneider - sorry I got distracted. I remodeled it for you here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/67b03787694138b4818b517c

The trick is to use Move Face:
