Is possible if I want to import sub assy to Onshape which is read as one part?
Because when I imported sub assy file which is created using another CAD software (Step), It detect each component as part and loose all mate that was created before.

NeilCooke Moderator, Onshape Employees Posts: 5,714When importing, set "combine to a single part studio". You will still need to make an assembly of these parts if you want to insert them into another assembly, but simply group the parts together in the assembly so that they act as one.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI6

Prachi Member, OS Professional Posts: 262 ✭✭✭One of the ways to do this with an imported sub assembly is to group the parts to behave as one when inserted.
In the sub-assembly you can use the BOM to exclude all the parts. Change properties of the sub-assembly as you wish. See 'combined block' in the sample 'multi blocks'. Set your BOM in top level to structured and the sub-assemblies behave as single parts.
Works well when I use vendor supplied components such as casters.

Grouping can be restrictive. Full function can be maintained by keeping assembly level with all mates
The hinge is fully functional but shows as one catalog item.
