Select Other, Spline Point

How do I know what to select?

I want the point of the blue spline, but this box gives me all kinds of other stuff; how do I know what it talks about? It's not possible to have it highlight my selection?

Also, why can't I enlarge this pop up box so that I can get everything shown in this screenshot?

It should be highlighting in yellow, whatever the result of the select other will give. keep hitting ~ and you should see what it is giving you

Right, it does highlight, sorry;) 

However, it doesn't' seem to help me. I've made a video:

I want to move the spline point, which is attached to the projected point. I usually solve this by removing all constraints and then it work, but I want to understand why it doesn't work like this.  

Why are there 3 of "vertex of sketch 1"; I'm totally confused; none of them seem to let me move the spline point.
