Revoking Link Share

If I turn link sharing on, then off then on again does this create a link that is different to the first? I regularly use link sharing but would like to be able to cancel old shares on a document and create new ones. 

Or is there a way to create a Link share which expires after a period of time.

A link share is on or off per document. That document can have multiple URLs. Each Version can be its own URL.  So each user you share to could reference their own individual version. That might be a way to control some amount of sharing this way. But there is no way to expire a link. its either on for the whole doc or it is off for the whole doc. When you turn it off none of the links work. When you turn in on all the links you have shared work.

Thanks Joe that's what I thought. A good reason to share links sparingly but they are so handy for people who have trouble signing up.
