Download Source File

I have imported a DXF into Onshape which I then shared with a public link.

However, the recipient can't download the DXF.

This defeats the purpose.

I also had the same problem with AutoCAD Online Viewer.

What is the reason for this?

That means I have to send DXF files. Wasn't the whole point that I didn't have to deal with files?

Is there any way to let the recipient be able to download the DXF?;)

Right click the DXF tab at the bottom of the screen and select Download.

Or press the download button on the view-only UI (big buttons along the bottom of the screen when a doc is view-only).

I was thinking about regular parts and assemblies. The download for DXF tabs can be found here:

    Did you find it?

No, it only presents a "open in new tab" when right clicking it.

Here's the link to the document:

Ah ok, wait a minute - you used link sharing? You only need to copy paste the URL from the browser. Link sharing prohibits download:

No, it seems link sharing is ok, as long as I activate "export";)
