Cube Puzzle Project

This is a classic CAD and woodworking project.  It is the first project I have my students do.  We begin the project by having students build cube puzzles using 1g interlocking cube blocks.  These can be found online from many science supply or general retailers.

I have students then design each part in OnShape.  I show the class as a whole how to make a sample "L-Shaped" part, how to create additional Part Studios and how to assemble sample parts using the Fasten tool.  From there I provide individual and small group help as needed.

Students are asked to submit a multi-page PDF drawing file as their final deliverable.  All parts should be dimensioned correctly and the document should also include isometric views of the assembled cube.

Students are allowed to update and re-submit their project if they do not earn full credit on the assignment.
