variable for pattern number return "enter a valid expression"

Hi,
I have 2 variables #L and #A which are dimension in mm
#N is defined as floor(#L/#A) so it's an integer, and is defined as a number.
When I used #N in a sketch for defining a pattern number, I have an error "enter a valid expression".
Do you have an idea?
Thanks!
Ben

You should use part, feature or face patterns where possible.
