Stretchy block in assemblies

Hi
I don't know if I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, but I'm having trouble getting assemblies to fit together without doing lots of math myself. Sometimes what I really want is a part that can stretch, usually along one axis, to fill a gap - I just know that I want e.g. two pairs of two faces to touch (plainer mate)... Is this sane/possible/likely to be possible later?

traveler_hauptman Member, OS Professional, Mentor, Developers Posts: 419 PROIf you have a sketch, or a link to a public onshape document, that shows what you are doing it will help people respond.
Generally, all the math is done in part studios, in sketches, via constraints. So I design groups of parts in the same part studio, and instead of giving a 'stretchy' part a dimension in the sketch, I use a coincident constraint or something like it.
So I think that the answer to your question is that it is both sane and possible. Post a little more detail.

A key functionality that's missing is being able to create relationships between part studios (Onshape is working on providing this).
