Offset Surface inconsistent behaviour in part studio vs "in context"

Hi All,

In the doc below:

When I go to "Shape to be offset" and do an offset surface on the parts I get the below result:

But when I then add "Test Part Studio" into the assembly, and edit "Test Part Studio" in context, I try to do an offset of the same shape and get a different behaviour:

Is this intended?

Not "intentional" as such, more of a fallout of how in-context works. When assembly "parts" are shown in a Part Studio, they are treated like individual faces, not solids. You can copy the body first using Transform/Copy in place then the offset will work as you expect.
