Creating knurl on solid model

Hello,
Can someone give me a step by step instruction on creating a knurl on a solid model. I want to put a knurl on a .750 diameter round.

Are you creating a knurl for cosmetic reasons or do you plan on manufacturing it?

I just need it for cosmetic reasons , just thought it would be cool to know how to model it.
