Some tips to create sketches without projecting the part edges

Hi all,
I would like to share some tips which could minimize the additional task of projecting the part edges wherever possible. According to my CAD experience I generally avoid projecting the part edges since for some reason projected sketches may fail in later stage due to changes in other geometries. In other CAD tools we may have less opportunities to use minimum projections. But in Onshape we can make minimum use of projected edges. So, I use projection method only when there is no other option to create sketch. Also I prefer to keep the projected edges minimum as far as possible.
So, there are some ways where we can avoid projections. See the video below.

The same precautions were available (and, I think, often advisable) in Solidworks.
I used to get varying degrees of interest, from people I was training or mentoring, in exploring and employing more robust alternatives like those shown (thanks, Shashank!) here.
A few would have zero interest.
One, I recall, would invariably find the notion of "pandering" to the software in such ways almost offensive, saying "Why not use the power of the application to its full extent?" It was almost as though I was asking him to betray something he held to be iconic.
My experience has almost invariably been that the easier we make things for the app, the easier it makes things for us in the long term.5
