Inventor Parts in Onshape for an Assembly

so for my now online class we were given parts that were made on inventor (IPT file) and im not sure how to get them onto onshape to assemble them.

All you need to do is import the .ipt and it will translate automatically.
You will need to mate assemblies manually.
It says you can import Inventor 9 to 19. I assume that includes .ipt
if it doesn't translate then export your parts to Step or something else that is on the list here:
