Create sketch plane based on position of chamfered edge

I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions lately! Here's an interesting one (perhaps).
I have a shape with a chamfered edge. I want to start a new sketch such that the starting face of that sketch is based on the newly-created edge that is the result of the chamfer. I'd like it such that if I change the amount of the chamfer in the future, the position of that sketch's plane is driven by the chamfer value, without resorting to variables and such.
I'm still struggling with all the different plane creation options (under Offset Plane), and can't seem to find the best one to use here.
Is there a way to select the edge of a chamfer and create a plane using that as the offset?
Here's a pic:
The highlighted edge is inset from the extruded face because of the chamfer. I'd like to create a plane right at that edge such that if I change the amount of chamfer (thus moving the edge), the plane's offset would be driven by that value....
