Custom units? (specifically milliter)

I'm creating a silicone mold, and as a first step I want to convert the volume of my part to ml (milliters).
I have managed to get the volume in mm^3 by using the Measure Value feature script, but after that, I have not found a good way to express the number as milliliters (or liters for that matter). Is there any way to use liter-based volume units? Custom units?
The solutions I have right now is to use a string (
roundToPrecision(#silicone_volume / (1000 mm^3), 1) ~ "ml") or skip the unit and name the variable with a suffix.
